Air Quality Guidance

Working with Decision-Makers on Air Quality Guidance

CREATE-AQI is co-developing tools to protect children from air-quality hazards in communities that periodically experience the worst air quality in the nation. Specifically, the project addresses the lack of a single place to find accurate air-quality forecasts and current conditions. These tools will build on high-resolution air-quality measurements and forecasts in communities with mountainous terrain. Our partnerships with the Utah High School Activities Association, the Utah Athletic Trainers Association, the Utah Division of Air Quality, the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, and the State Board of Education along with end users such as athletic trainers, school nurses, school administrators, and the Utah Asthma Program are critical to providing community members with actionable guidance to protect the health and well-being of two vulnerable communities: preK-12 students and children participating in organized sporting activities.

CREATE AQI Dashboard

Dashboard development in progress... The CREATE AQI dashboard will provide access to real-time guidance and the supporting air quality measurements and forecasts.
